"Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.... A virtuous woman.... openeth her mouth with wisdom, and in her tongue is the law of kindness" (Proverbs 31:8-10,26). "Speaking the truth in love.... let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers" (Ephesians 4:15,29).
Open your mouth with heaven's instruction;
Open your mouth for the weak who cannot,
Pleading the cause against their destruction,
Bringing the mercy and truth they have sought.
Speaking the truth in love is the way
That we should convey our communication.
O Lord, give us wisdom in all that we say
To minister grace in each situation.
