The World vs. The Word

Read:  Psalm 115 / Proverbs 31 / Haggai 2 / Revelation 19

Psalm 115:2 ~ Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

Proverbs 31:8 ~ Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Haggai 2:6 ~ Thus saith the LORD… A little while, and I will shake the heavens… the earth… the sea, and the dry land.

Revelation 19:11-13 ~ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war… and his name is called The Word of God.

The logic of this world is flawed:

We see this in the dark confusion

Of those who say there is no God

With fools who draw the same conclusion.

Yet they shall know they were mistaken:

The Word of God shall intervene

When earth and heaven shall be shaken

Such as this world has never seen.

Consider Christ

Read:  Psalm 114 / Proverbs 30 / Haggai 1 / Revelation 18

Psalm 114:7 ~ Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.

Proverbs 30:4 ~ Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name… if thou canst tell?

Haggai 1:4,5 ~ Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Revelation 18:4 ~ And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Let all the earth observe and tremble:

Consider well what Christ has done!

Now in His presence we assemble

And see none like Him; no, not one.

Let us consider now our ways

And build upon a sure foundation,

As we give Christ His rightful praise

And tell the lost of His salvation.

Search and See

Read:  Psalm 113 / Proverbs 29 / Zephaniah 3 / Revelation 17

Psalm 113:5 ~ Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, who humbleth Himself?

Proverbs 29:13 ~ The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.

Zephaniah 3:5 ~ The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.

Revelation 17:14 ~ The Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.

Let earnest seekers be inclined

In every place they have explored

To search and see if they can find

Another hero like our Lord.

Our Savior towers in their midst!

Exalt our Lord and praise the Lamb!

There are no others who exist

Like Christ our King, the great I AM.

Light for the Lost

Read:  Psalm 112 / Proverbs 28 / Zephaniah 2 / Revelation 16

Psalm 112:4 ~ Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious… full of compassion, and righteous.

Proverbs 28:5 ~ Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

Zephaniah 2:3 ~ Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek… which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

Revelation 16:15 ~ Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

The lost who humbly seek the light

Shall run to Christ who lives to save,

For morning soon returns to night,

And life is brief, then comes the grave.

God calls the lost and bids the meek

To find in Christ their hiding place

Where they shall find the light they seek,

And He shall cover them with grace.

Prideful vs. Prudent

Read:  Psalm 111 / Proverbs 27 / Zephaniah 1 / Revelation 15

Psalm 111:9,10 ~ Holy and reverend is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that dohis praise endureth forever.

Proverbs 27:11,12 ~ My son, be wise, and make my heart glad... A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Zephaniah 1:12 ~ It shall come to pass at that time, that I will… punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.

Revelation 15:4 ~ Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

The name of Christ our God is holy,

And faithful is His reputation.

His grace is given to the lowly

Who seek the Lord and His salvation.

The prideful settle on their lees

Who have no shame for their behavior.

The prudent man from judgment flees

And finds his refuge in our Savior.

Awesome Answer

Read:  Psalm 110 / Proverbs 26 / Habakkuk 3 / Revelation 14

Psalm 110:1 ~ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Proverbs 26:5 ~Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 ~ Although the fig tree shall not blossom… Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength.

Revelation 14:12 ~ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The foes of Christ shall be His stool;

The serpent also shall be bruised.

This is God’s answer to the fool

Who chooses still to be confused.

The fig tree may or may not blossom,

Yet we shall nonetheless rejoice

As we adore our Lord so awesome

And patiently obey His voice.

Majestic Mercy

Read:  Psalm 109 / Proverbs 25 / Habakkuk 2 / Revelation 13

Psalm 109:5,6,30,31 ~ And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love… let Satan stand at his right hand… The Lord… shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Proverbs 25:25 ~ As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Habakkuk 2:2,4 ~ Write the vision, and make it plain… that he may run that readeth it… the just shall live by his faith.

Revelation 13:7-10 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints… If any man have an ear, let him hear… Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Behold the Savior at the door

Who offers His redeeming love

While Satan rises to make war

Against our Lord who reigns above.

Let all who know the Gospel run

To make majestic mercy clear,

Declaring what our Lord has done

As long as there are ears to hear.
