Power to Proclaim

Read:  Psalm 110 / Proverbs 31 / Judges 1 / Revelation 21

Psalm 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Proverbs 31:8,9 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.  Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Judges 1:22 The house of Joseph, they also went up against Beth-el: and the LORD was with them.

Revelation 21:3 Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

There is a coming day of power

When Christ shall reign in all the earth.

Yet even in this present hour,

We are empowered with new birth.

The Lord is with us in each place:

The east, the west, the north, and south

All need the Gospel of His grace;

Let us proclaim it with our mouth.

Praise of the Poor

Read:  Psalm 109 / Proverbs 30 / Joshua 24 / Revelation 20

Psalm 109:30,31 I will greatly praise the LORD… For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Joshua 24:14,15 Fear the LORD… serve him in sincerity and in truth… as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

I see the place where Jesus stands:

He’s at the right hand of the poor.

In my defense, He shows His hands;

He does not need to argue more.

I am the poor man He defends!

I’ll serve Him with sincerity.

I am the sinner He befriends!

I’ll praise my Lord eternally.

Choice to Cherish

Read:  Psalm 108 / Proverbs 29 / Joshua 23 / Revelation 19

Psalm 108:1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Joshua 23:11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

Revelation 19:7,8 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready… arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

My heart is fixed, so I will cherish

The Lord who gave Himself for me.

Without Him I would surely perish

In hopelessness eternally!

I’ve made my choice to love the Lord

Who clothed me in His righteousness.

I’ve fixed my heart on the reward

Of His approval, nothing less!

Redeemed and Rescued

Read:  Psalm 107 / Proverbs 28 / Joshua 22 / Revelation 18

Psalm 107:2,43 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy… Whoso is wise… they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Joshua 22:5 Take diligent heed… to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart.

Revelation 18:4 Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Let all who are redeemed now say

That Christ has been victorious!

All we like sheep had gone astray,

But Jesus died to rescue us!

Now since we know the awful price

That Jesus paid to cleanse our heart,

Let us abandon every vice

From which He calls us to depart.

Faithful Facts

Read:  Psalm 106 / Proverbs 27 / Joshua 21 / Revelation 17

Psalm 106:2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?

Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Joshua 21:45 There failed not… any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

Revelation 17:14 The Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.

We cannot utter all the praise

Describing all God’s mighty acts,

For we are weak and few of days,

Yet we declare the faithful facts.

For every promise God has made

Was kept in time; not one has failed.

Prophetic future is displayed

When Christ returns and has prevailed.

Refuge for the Ransomed

Read:  Psalm 105 / Proverbs 26 / Joshua 20 / Revelation 16

Psalm 105:1,2 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Joshua 20:2 Appoint out for you cities of refuge.

Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Revelation 16:5 Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

Give thanks to God, make known His deeds,

And let His wonders be rehearsed.

Our Savior and our Refuge pleads

For ransomed sinners who were cursed.

There was a price to save the lost,

For judgment could not be denied,

So Jesus died to pay the cost,

And righteousness was satisfied.

Songs of Saints

Read:  Psalm 104 / Proverbs 25 / Joshua 19 / Revelation 15

Psalm 104:33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Proverbs 25:25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Joshua 19:51 These are the inheritances… divided… before the Lord… So they made an end of dividing the country.

Revelation 15:3 They sing the song of Moses… and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

I’ll sing to Jesus Christ my Lord

As long as He shall give me breath

With all who likewise have adored

The Lamb who conquered sin and death.

Though earthly songs at last shall end

When I am joined with saints above,

Eternal songs shall yet ascend

To Christ our King, the Lord of love.

Angels and Ambassadors

Read:  Psalm 103 / Proverbs 24 / Joshua 18 / Revelation 14

Psalm 103:20-22 Bless the LORD, ye his angels… his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure… all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Proverbs 24:30,31 I went by the field of the slothful…  and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

Joshua 18:3 Joshua said… How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God… hath given you?

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel… having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

The angels surely do not cease

To search the Gospel that we treasure.

They are God’s ministers of peace

Who are not slack to do His pleasure.

We are ambassadors now sent

By Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,

So let us be found diligent

As we declare His saving favor.

Rightly Resting

Read:  Psalm 102 / Proverbs 23 / Joshua 17 / Revelation 13

Psalm 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come… people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

Proverbs 23:15,18 My son… be wise… Surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Joshua 17:18 Thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.

Revelation 13:10 Here is the patience and…faith of the saints.

We rightly have an expectation

That faith in Christ is not in vain.

His words to every generation,

Fulfilled in Christ, are true and plain.

Our patience and our faith now rest

In knowing God is never wrong.

Though all the nations be distressed,

Our cause for trusting God is strong.

Evict and Embrace

Read:  Psalm 101 / Proverbs 22 / Joshua 16 / Revelation 12

Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes… The work of them that turn aside… shall not cleave to me.

Proverbs 22:5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.

Joshua 16:10 They drave not out the Canaanites… but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day.

Revelation 12:7,8 And there was war in heaven… and the dragon… prevailed not; neither was their place found.

Let wickedness be cast away

Within my house before my eyes.

Let thorns and snares no longer stay

That compass me about with lies.

Let no invaders further dwell

Where God has said they should not be.

I will evict the lies from hell,

Embracing truth that makes me free.

Oblivious to the Obvious

Read:  Psalm 100 / Proverbs 21 / Joshua 15 / Revelation 11

Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

Joshua 15:18,19 Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? Who answered, Give me a blessing.

Revelation 11:17 We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

We need to state the obvious

As we acknowledge our Creator,

Exposing as ridiculous

The blind, oblivious debater.

We’re called to show the evidence

In science, scripture, and the Savior,

And show, as well, the consequence

Awaiting fools who spurn His favor.

Called like Caleb

Read:  Psalm 99 / Proverbs 20 / Joshua 14 / Revelation 10

Psalm 99:6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Proverbs 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.

Joshua 14:9-12 Moses sware… Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance… because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God… Behold, the LORD hath kept me alive… Now therefore give me this mountain.

Revelation 10:5,11 The angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth… said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

God answered Moses in his youth

And in his graying years as well

With others whom He trained in truth,

As Caleb also lived to tell.

He took the mountain that God gave

As God had promised that he would.

We’re called like Caleb to be brave

As we proclaim that God is good.
