"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended?.... What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell?" (Proverbs 30:4). "Now He that ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things" (Ephesians 4:9,10).
Who has ascended to heaven above,
Arising in triumph from earth where He came?
Who first descended to save us with love?
Who is so glorious, and what is His name?
Who has ascended and sits on His throne
Where heaven unceasingly announces His fame?
Who has redeemed and delivered His own?
Who is so glorious, and what is His name?
Who has ascended? There only is One!
Eternally God, yet a Man He became:
The Lord Jesus Christ, our God's precious Son!
O Lord, You are glorious, and this is Your name!
