"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD... they shall speak with the enemies in the gate" (Psalm 127:3-5). "The heart of the righteous studieth to answer" (Proverbs 15:28). "O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet?... How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge?" (Jeremiah 47:6,7). "There shall come in the last days scoffers... But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:3,18).
Our
children given by the Lord
Inherit
blessings that are great.
They
have God's Word, the Spirit's sword,
To
give an answer in the gate.
Though
enemies are looming large
And
mockers in their ranks now swell,
The
Lord has given us a charge
To
march against the gates of hell.
The Lord commands us to prepare
Our
children for reality
As
we equip them to declare
The
truth of God that makes us free.
Lord,
thank You for the great provision
To
train our children by Your Word
And
charge them with Your great commission
To
preach the Gospel they have heard.
