"Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain" (Psalm 76:10). "For of a truth against Thy holy Child Jesus, whom Thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together for to do whatsoever Thy hand and Thy counsel determined before to be done" (Acts 4:27,28).
The Lord will surely get His praise,
No matter who would have it halted.
No weapon that His foes can raise
Shall change that He shall be exalted.
What great assurance now this gives,
As we reflect on Jesus Christ!
He came, He died, He rose, He lives,
Who for our souls was sacrificed!
He came as God declared He would,
Though hell opposed Him all the way!
God used the wrath of man for good,
And all the rest He cast away!
The wrath of man is in denial
Of sovereignty that is so plain!
It lasts to praise the Lord awhile,
And all the rest He will restrain.
Lord, thank You that You even used
At Calvary the wrath of man!
Though evil men are yet confused,
We're resting in Your sovereign plan.
