Precision of Prophecy

"Every word of God is pure" (Proverbs 30:5). "The children of Israel shall abide many days without a king... afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God... in the latter days" (Hosea 3:4,5). "I continue... saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: that Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people" (Acts 26:22,23).

The Lord has spoken, we are sure,
As evident in prophecy,
For every word of God is pure,
As proven by all history.

Hosea said that Israel,
Without a king for many days,
Would afterward return to tell
The glory of their Savior's praise.

As Paul declared before the king,
He only preached what prophets said:
That Christ would come for suffering
And be the Firstborn from the dead.

Lord, thank You for the great precision
That prophecy has clearly shown
To show us light by Your provision,
And thereby make Your Gospel known!
