"And the Lord said... Saul of Tarsus.... is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how great things he must suffer for My name's sake" (Acts 9:11-16).
The Lord has vessels for His voice
To bear His name and show His grace,
And He knows why He makes His choice
In every circumstance and place.
So Saul of Tarsus was the one
That God selected and became
A messenger for God the Son
And vessel of His righteousness.
The eyes of God still deeply search
The hearts of those whom He will choose
To be His voice, to build His church,
And be the vessel He would use.
O Lord, we thank You for the love
Allowing us to bear Your name,
Though countless angels up above
Could so much better do the same!
Lord, mold in us a faithful heart
To be what we were meant to be:
Your chosen vessels to impart
The Gospel that has made us free.
