"One generation shall praise Thy works to another... They shall abundantly utter the memory of Thy great goodness" (Psalm 145:4,7). "Receive My words... For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:1-6). "Behold, the glory of the God of Israel" (Ezekiel 8:5). "Go and take the little book which is open... Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings" (Revelation 10:8,11).
One
generation utters praise
Declaring
what the Lord has done
To
yet another that conveys
The
goodness seen in God the Son.
As
we receive the words of God,
Obeying
what He is commanding,
He
gives us wisdom, never flawed,
With
knowledge and with understanding.
Behold
the God of Israel
Unveiled
in redemption's story!
His
Book is open now to tell
The
greatness of our Savior's glory!
Lord,
grant us understanding now
So
that Your Gospel may be uttered
With
power which You will endow
And
purity that is uncluttered.
