"Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help… Happy is he… whose hope is in the LORD his God… which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth forever" (Psalm 146:5,6). "A Friend loveth at all times, and a Brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17). "Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel" (Jeremiah 3:23). "Thanks be unto God for His Unspeakable Gift" (2 Corinthians 9:15 ).
There is no help
at all in man
Regarding our
eternal soul.
In Christ alone
God has a plan
Whereby He makes
the sinner whole.
In Christ, the
Lord of all creation,
We have a Friend
who never fails.
He is the Author
of salvation;
When trouble comes,
His love prevails.
All other hope
is all in vain
That is not sought
in Christ our Savior.
The Word of God
has made this plain;
Through Christ
alone is heaven's favor.
Unfailing God, to
You we lift
Our hearts of praise,
though at a loss
For words
sufficient for Your Gift
Unspeakable upon
the cross!
