"Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite… He showeth His Word" (Psalm 147:5,19). "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21). "How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?" (Jeremiah 4:14 ). "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4,5).
How great are
the Lord's attributes
He shows in the Word
He's commanding;
Unchanging in
His absolutes,
Unbounded in His
understanding!
Let praise to
our Savior be sung,
And let us preach
boldly and plain
The Gospel
conveyed by our tongue,
Refuting the
thoughts that are vain!
The weapons of
truth that God gave
Exalt Jesus
Christ as our Savior.
There's no other
name that can save;
There's no other
path to God's favor.
O Lord, You have
heard the opinions
Of those who
have vainly disputed.
We're forcing
down falsehood's dominions
With truth that
cannot be refuted.
