"The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
The Lord forever is my Light;
In view of this, whom should I fear?
He is my Strength and saving Might,
And He has promised to be near.
My enemies may boldly talk
And blindly say I am forsaken.
It doesn't matter if they mock,
For nonetheless they are mistaken!
Of whom then shall I be afraid,
Since Christ is Lord of all dominions?
He rules the universe He made;
He is not moved by vain opinions!
We thank You, Lord, for confidence
Which we may have in every hour,
For You have been our strong Defense,
And You will keep us by Your power.
