Now Sing and be Not Silent

"Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His… and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto Thee forever" (Psalm 30:4,12).  "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD" (Proverbs 21:31).  "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.  For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus; who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time" (1 Timothy 2:3-6).

Sing praise to God, you saints of His,
And be not silent as you see
His faithfulness (How great it is!)
And His salvation full and free.

We do not trust our preparation
For battle by our shield and sword;
The only hope of our salvation
Is found in Jesus Christ our Lord.

How good is Christ, our God and Savior,
Who will have all men to be saved,
That He would die to offer favor
And ransom sinners so depraved!

Lord, now we sing, and will not cease;
We are not silent, but recall
That on the cross You purchased peace
And gave Yourself to ransom all.
