"Thou art the God of my salvation… The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and He will show them His covenant" (Psalm 25:5,14). "By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil" (Proverbs 16:6). "Ah Lord GOD!… There is nothing too hard for Thee: Thou showest lovingkindness unto thousands… Great in counsel, and mighty in work" (Jeremiah 32:17-19). "Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
The
God of our salvation shows
His
Word to hearts with godly fear
With
understanding He bestows
To
seek the Lord while He is near.
The
Spirit of the Lord has urged
The
lost to flee from coming wrath.
By
grace and truth our sins are purged;
His
fear will purify our path.
How
great in counsel is the Lord
Who
makes salvation's secret known!
His
life for sinners was outpoured;
No
greater love was ever shown!
O
Lord, the secret of salvation
Has
not been hidden from our view:
We've
heard Your faithful declaration,
And
what You promised, You will do.
