"Teach me Thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies" (Psalm 27:11). "A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself… The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe" (Proverbs 18:2,10). "I have pronounced the Word, saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 34:5). "Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved… for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie" (2 Thessalonians 2:10,11).
There's
danger everywhere today
With
strong delusion on life's path,
But
God is teaching us His way,
Who
has delivered us from wrath.
Though
fools throw caution to the wind
With
no delight in understanding,
All
those who know that they have sinned
Will
run to Christ at His commanding.
The
Word of God announces danger
And
shows us Christ, our Hiding Place,
But
fools will meet God as a Stranger
Because
they did not choose His grace.
O
Lord, the danger of delusion
Is
found in every place we look,
Yet
in the midst of this confusion,
We
preach the Gospel from Your Book!
