Majesty and Mercy

"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together" (Psalm 34:3).   "A faithful messenger… refresheth the soul… Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain" (Proverbs 25:13,14).  "Our Lord Jesus Christ… shall show, who is… the King of kings, and Lord of lords… O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith" (1 Timothy 6:14,15,20,21).

O magnify the majesty
And mercy of our Lord and Savior!
Exalt His name eternally,
And celebrate His saving favor!

Though every one of us have sinned,
In Christ we're cleansed of every stain,
But mere religion is like wind
That thunders loud, but has no rain.

He'll come with healing in His wings
With mercy as the Lord of hosts.
As the majestic King of kings,
He'll silence every foe that boasts.

Your majesty and mercy, Lord
(Despite the claims of so-called science),
At Your return won't be ignored,
And none shall stand in their defiance.
