Price of Peace

Read:  Psalm 15 / Proverbs 21 / Isaiah 25 /John 14

Psalm 15:1,2 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
Isaiah 25:8-9 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces… We have waited for him; we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

There was a price to give us peace
That only Jesus could provide.
The ransom for our soul’s release
Was paid when Christ our Savior died.

Our sins against us were arrayed;
The battle for our peace seemed lost.
But Jesus said, “Be not afraid,”
For He would pay redemption’s cost.
