Ready for Revival

"Wilt Thou not revive us again: that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?... Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him" (Psalm 85:6,9).  "Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth" (Proverbs 27:1).  "It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart" (Ecclesiastes 7:2).  "Your time is always ready… If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink... This spake He of the Spirit" (John 7:6,37,39).

The Lord is ready to revive
The people who will seek His face.
Christ died, He rose, and is alive
To readily impart this grace.

Since God is not procrastinating,
The question therefore to us speaks:
What is the reason we are waiting
For this revival that God seeks?

Procrastination says "Tomorrow!"
But this is not what God commands,
For God foresees the time of sorrow
When death shall interrupt our plans.

O Lord, we're ready for revival,
As we are by Your Spirit stirred.
Before another day's arrival,
Revive us to obey Your Word!

When I came to understand that God does not guarantee us another tomorrow for us to make plans, I always finish statements like " I'll see you later, tomorrow, or next week" with: "God WILLING. " It's through His grace...

Amen, dear Susan! Every moment He gives us is a gift of grace to be redeemed for His glory. Thank the Lord for His readiness to revive us to live for Him who love us and gave Himself for us! (Galatians 2:20).
