"Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?... Where the slain are, there is she" (Job 39:27,30). "God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup... He poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked… shall… drink them" (Psalm 75:7,8). "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together… And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 17:37; 21:27).
The eagles follow God's command
To gather where the slain shall be.
The day of judgment is at hand
When Christ shall come with majesty.
The wrath of God was in the cup
Which Jesus drank when He was slain,
But all the wicked shall drink up
The dregs of wrath which yet remain.
The Lord is Judge, or He is Savior;
There is no third alternative.
All those who trust Him find the favor
That Jesus died to freely give.
The eager eagles, Lord, shall fly
When You command them to descend
To gather where the slain shall lie,
For what You promise, has an end.
