Builders' Blunder

"Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up" (Psalm 28:5).  "The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble" (Proverbs 4:19).  "Make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place" (Ezekiel 42:20).  "The Stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the Head of the Corner: this is the Lord's doing" (Matthew 21:42).

So many choose to not regard
The operation of God's hands.
They make their hearts against Him hard,
Without concern for His commands.

They walk in darkness and they stumble,
Ensnared by every vain seduction.
Their house of cards shall surely crumble,
And pride shall bring them to destruction.

So let us make a separation
Between the holy and profane,
As we regard God's operation,
Lest we in folly build in vain.

O Lord, You are the Corner Stone
Which builders foolishly rejected.
Since Scripture made this blunder known,
We search Your Word to be directed.
