"As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever... Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces... For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our Guide even unto death" (Psalm 48:8-14). "Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down" (Mark 13:1,2).
Behold
the bulwarks we can see
As
we are guided by God's Word
To
view that city's majesty
Where
Christ shall reign as we have heard.
The
Lord invites us in advance
To
view the bulwarks round His throne
Beyond
our present circumstance,
Which
His prophetic Word has shown.
We
mark those bulwarks very well,
Since
God Himself has been our Guide,
That
we may to our children tell
The
truth His Word has prophesied.
O
Lord, You have not said in vain
That
bulwarks men behold shall fall
In
contrast to Your endless reign
As
King of kings and Lord of all!
