Sufficiency of Scripture

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16,17). 

The Scripture is given by God’s inspiration,

Providing us all that we ever will need,

Secured by the promise of His preservation,

That we may be thoroughly furnished indeed.

His doctrine, reproof, and His gracious correction

Are found with instruction in His righteousness,

Providing His counsel to give His direction

To walk in the path that He surely will bless.

O Lord, we give thanks for the Scripture You gave,

With which You have taught and equipped us so well.

The Gospel of Christ is sufficient to save

All those who will trust You to save them from hell.
