Mindful of our Maker

“Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3).  “If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself… Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:13,15).

How strange is the teaching we have in our schools,

Infecting the minds and the hearts of our youth

With that which is falsely called science by fools,

Denying the Lord and the Word of His truth.

Examine the schoolbooks on library shelves

Presenting this falsehood as if it were fact:

The notion that we (and not God) made ourselves,

With time, chance, and nothing producing this act! 

The more that we study, the more that we know

That all of the evidence, Lord, leads to You.

Your Word and creation in harmony show

That only the blind can deny this is true.
