"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name" (Malachi 3:16). "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true... honest... just... pure... lovely... of good report... virtue...praise, think on these things" (Philippians 4:8).
Think upon our Savior's name;
Ponder well His reputation.
Think of how and why He came
To accomplish our salvation.
How this purifies the mind,
As silver purified from dross
As our thoughts are so inclined
To dwell on Christ and on His cross!
Whatsoever things are true,
What things are honest, just, and pure,
Clearly have our Lord in view,
Whose love forever shall endure.
Thank You for this good report
Of virtue, Lord, and praise supreme,
Where our thoughts with joy resort
To Christ, our most delightful Theme!
