"Help, LORD, for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.... I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD; Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever" (Psalm 12:1-7). "There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel against the LORD. The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but safety is of the LORD" (Proverbs 21:30,31).
The enemy puffs with an arrogant face
At all who would hold to the truth.
He scoffs at those trusting in God's saving grace,
And aims at destroying our youth.
Come help us, O Lord, for the godly man ceases!
The armies of hell gain more ground!
Deception continues, confusion increases,
And those who forget You abound!
God sets us in safety! His answer we've heard!
And none from His safety can sever:
We need nothing more than His purified Word
Preserved by His power forever.
Lord, thank You for meeting our need for protection
Against Satan's wiles today,
Providing Your counsel for us with perfection
To guard all who humbly obey.
