Deceiver's Delusion

"Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But Thou, O Lord art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head" (Psalm 3:2,3). "The thoughts of the righteous are right.... the way of a fool is right in his own eyes" (Proverbs 12:5,15). "God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: the they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:11).

How many there are who will foolishly say:
There's no help from God for the soul.
Yes, that is the thinking around us today,
Enforced by Satanic control.

Praise God who has shined in the darkness His light
To show us His truth and His love,
That we might perceive what is holy and right
And set our affections above!

The way of a fool may seem right in his eyes,
Though still he is lost in confusion,
For though he professes himself to be wise,
He chooses to trust a delusion.

O Lord, we give thanks that You caused us to see
The blessings in You that we find
And in You the refuge where sinners might flee
Where You will give sight to the blind.

Lord, grant us the privilege to show others too
The wonderful treasure received
Of righteousness freely imparted by You
To all who in Christ have believed.
