"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.... The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath He established the heavens" (Proverbs 3:13-19). "[In] Christ... are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.... In Him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:2-9).
How happy, when wisdom and knowledge are found,
Are those who discover their worth!
The Lord, in whom wisdom and knowledge abound,
By these made the heaven and earth!
How happy are they, and how great are their pleasures,
Who find in Christ Jesus our Lord
The fullness of God and the infinite treasures
His wisdom and knowledge afford!
How happy are we, precious Lord, by Your favor,
Since You have extended to us
The fullness of God in Christ Jesus our Savior,
In whom we're delighted to trust!
