"It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.... Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof" (Romans 13:11-14).
Surely it's time to awake out of sleep:
The day is at hand; far spent is the night.
The battle is raging, the darkness is deep,
But we are provided with armor of light.
The armor of light is our Lord Jesus Christ!
Put on His righteousness! Walk in His love!
Make no provision for flesh that's enticed,
And do not fulfill the affections thereof.
O Lord, You have given the armor that's best;
We know that the battle at last shall be won.
Until that day comes when You tell us to rest,
Lord, teach us to fight the good fight till it's done.
