Place of our Pleasure

"LORD, I have loved the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thine honor dwelleth" (Psalm 26:8). "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular" (1 Corinthians 12:27).

How marvelous, Lord, is the place where You dwell,
For who could have possibly known
That You would reside in those rescued from hell,
And there You would set up Your throne!

O Lord, we have cherished this unlikely place
Where You have decided to stay!
For we are the body of Christ by Your grace,
Your temple of praise everyday!

Great God, though You fill all of heaven and earth
As Maker and Lord of creation,
It gives so much pleasure to know we were worth
A place for Your own habitation.
