"The LORD taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.... Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand... this honor have all His saints. Praise ye the Lord" (Psalm 149:4-9). "The Lord shall be thy confidence.... His secret is with the righteous.... He giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory" (Proverbs 3:26-35).
The debt of service we have owed
Is measured now by this degree:
When greater honor is bestowed
So is responsibility.
Our God has placed within our hand
And in our hearts His two-edge sword,
Which is the Word of His command
To praise and glorify the Lord.
The Lord shall be our confidence,
His secret shall be clearly shown,
His glory, our inheritance
By grace and truth to us made known.
O Lord, we thank You for Your love
With daily benefits so full,
And for Your blessings from above
For which we are accountable.
