Waging War

"My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war" (Psalm 120:6,7).

It's time for us to finally see
The battle lines are drawn,
As Satan's great hostility,
Though subtle, rages on.

As long as Satan still is loose,
Our warfare cannot cease,
For there shall never be a truce
With him who hates God's peace.

Throughout the days on earth we dwell
Until our latest hour,
We shall be waging war with hell
And its seductive power.

We shouldn't be discouraged now,
For God is on His throne,
And He will readily endow
His grace to all His own.

O Lord, until we're home with You,
Uphold us by Your grace
To fight for what we know is true,
Whatever we may face.
