"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.... Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee" (Psalm 122:1,2,6).
Pray for Jerusalem; pray for her peace.
Pray for her gladness for which she has yearned.
One day her sorrows and conflicts shall cease,
As soon as the Prince of her peace has returned.
Pray that the day shall be hastened toward
Jerusalem's joy; O the prospect is sweet,
When we shall go into the house of the LORD,
And within the gates of Jerusalem meet!
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for this expectation
That fills us with joy: You are coming again!
Jerusalem's peace and her great jubilation
Approaches each day! Even so, Lord, amen!
