True Witness vs. Tragic Wickedness

"In God will I praise His Word" (Psalm 56:10).  "A true witness delivereth souls... The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death" (Proverbs 14:25,32).  "That which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you" (Isaiah 21:10).  "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God... for ye are bought with a price" (1 Corinthians 6:11,20).

There is a witness in the earth
That will deliver precious souls,
That leads the sinner to new birth,
And joyfully our Lord extols.

There is a wickedness as well
That drives a soul away from God,
That leads a sinner down to hell,
And scorns God's holy judgment rod.

The Lord has called us to declare
The Gospel message of His Word.
Let all His witnesses prepare
To preach the truth that they have heard.

For we are washed and sanctified
Who once were filthy and were lost,
But now by grace we're justified,
Redeemed at heaven's highest cost.

The cost of grace, though free to us,
Was by our Savior's sacrifice.
What wondrous love, so marvelous,
From God who stooped to pay this price!

O Lord, the witness of Your love
Is true for all eternity,
Yet holy wrath comes from above
Against this world's apathy.

Lord, purify true witness now
As tragic wickedness is halted
In sinners who repent and bow
When You are found and thus exalted.
