Sowing Salvation's Seed

"God be merciful unto us... that Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations" (Psalm 67:1,2).  "As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country" (Proverbs 25:25).  "A Man shall be as an Hiding Place... as Rivers of Water in a dry place... Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters" (Isaiah 32:2,20).  "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3).

There is a time when we may sow
The Gospel seed of God's salvation.
The time is short for us to show
His saving health to every nation.

As waters to a soul athirst
Is news from heaven's distant shore.
Behold, a Man for us was cursed
That we might be condemned no more!

The Man Christ Jesus came to die
That He might be our Hiding Place,
As waters in a place so dry
And rivers full of saving grace.

Yes, God from heaven to us came
And for our sakes was sacrificed!
How rightly to we praise His name,
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We're sowing heaven's Gospel seed
As we declare salvation's plan:
Christ met the sinner's urgent need
When He laid down His life as Man.

We thank You, Lord, as sons and daughters,
For comfort that You freely gave,
That we may sow beside all waters
Salvation's seed by which You save.
