"Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto His name, for it is pleasant. For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure" (Psalm 135:3,4). "Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.... and I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:16-18).
Praise the Lord with grateful pleasure!
Sing the praises of His name!
We are His peculiar treasure,
Chosen and redeemed from shame!
Praise the Lord, for He is good!
In His people He will dwell.
Let us praise Him as we should,
As the brands He plucked from hell.
Praise the Lord, for He has cherished,
As His temple, all His own.
We, who surely would have perished,
Worship now around His throne.
Praise the Lord, and come apart,
Separate from this world depraved.
Worship Him with all your heart,
Sons and daughters whom He saved!
