The Lion is the Lamb

"Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed.... And I beheld, and, lo in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain.... Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing" (Revelation 5:5-12).

The Lion roars, yet calms my fears
In spite of what I am,
For He alone could dry my tears
Because He is the Lamb.

Come, as nations all applaud:
The Lion has prevailed,
For He became the Lamb of God,
And to the cross was nailed!

And there He nailed iniquity
Upon that rugged cross.
And there He gave us victory
Instead of dreadful loss.

Worthy is the Lamb to reign
By every tribe and nation!
The Lion is the Lamb once slain
To purchase our salvation!
