"Let my heart be sound in Thy statutes, that I be not ashamed" (Psalm 119:80). "And now, little children, abide in Him, that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28).
There is a purifying power
That always cleanses when
We ponder that approaching hour
When Christ shall come again.
If Jesus Christ should come today
Would we then be ashamed
Of what we think and do and say
And plans that we have framed?
Let us live each moment then
With this purifying view:
When Jesus shall come again,
What will He think of you?
