"What is man, that Thou shouldest magnify him? And that Thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that Thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?" (Job 7:17,18).
What is man to You, Oh Lord,
That You should magnify his worth,
And set Your heart on the reward
Of his redemption and new birth?
What is man that every morning
You would visit him again,
And every moment give him warning,
Try his heart, and help him then?
Every morning, every moment
You astound us, Lord, with love
Epitomized by Your bestowment
Of our Savior from above!
