Contemplating Christ

Read:  Psalm 48 / Proverbs 11 / Zephaniah 2 / Matthew 26

Psalm 48:9,14 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple… For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them.

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth… seek righteousness, seek meekness.

Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

When we are contemplating Christ

And pondering His loving actions,

Our hearts shall not then be enticed

To turn aside to vain distractions.

Consider Christ who did not call

For angels ready in their ranks,

But rather gave His life for all.

Let us adore Him, giving thanks!
