Should I withhold the truth within
The Gospel that proclaims salvation,
That offers cleansing from our sin,
And rescues us from condemnation?
O woe is me if I withhold
The Gospel’s warning to the hardened!
May God my Savior make me bold
To preach that sinners may be pardoned!
