"Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; shew forth His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory… Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name" (Psalm 96:2,3,8). "Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns… And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the Man!... And he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!... Jesus… said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost… And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe" (John 19:5,14,30,35).
How
wondrous is redemption's story
Which
day to day we should proclaim
As
we declare our Savior's glory
And
daily magnify His name!
When
Jesus set aside his splendor,
Accomplishing
salvation's plan,
He
came forth as our soul's Defender:
Behold
our God, the thorn-crowned Man!
We
do not speak of our endeavor,
Which
could not profit anything.
We
glorify our Lord forever:
Behold
the beauty of our King!
O
Lord, our daily declaration
In
heaven shall not be diminished
As
we recall Your proclamation
Upon the cross that "It is finished!"
