"Merib-baal [Heb. Quarreler against Baal] begat Micah [Heb. Who is like JAH?] (1 Chronicles 8:34). "His merciful kindness… and the truth of the LORD endureth forever" (Psalm 117:2). "My mouth shall speak truth… He established the clouds above… He gave to the sea His decree… He appointed the foundations of the earth" (Proverbs 8:7-31). "In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils… Save thyself, and them that hear thee" (1 Timothy 4:1,16).
We have a
quarrel with the liar
Who in our day
dismisses truth.
We stand against
the thief's desire
To rob the
Gospel from our youth.
There is no
other like the Lord
Who gave Himself
for our salvation.
His mercy and
His truth afford
Our soul's escape
from condemnation.
He hung the
earth in outer space
With laws established
by His voice.
He came to save
us by His grace,
Presented to us
as a choice.
Lord, in this
day of dark defiance,
Our quarrel stands
against seduction.
The quality of
our reliance
On You has saved
us from destruction.
