"The sons of Reuben… cried to God in the battle, and He was entreated of them; because they put their trust in Him… because the war was of God" (1 Chronicles 5:18-22). "Israel [was] His dominion… Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord" (Psalm 114:2,7). "Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me… putting me into the ministry… came into the world to save sinners... Now unto the King eternal… be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen… Timothy… war a good warfare" (1 Timothy 1:12-18).
There
is a war that God is waging
Against
this world's false opinion.
The
battle everyday that's raging
Is
fought by trusting His dominion.
This
was the case with Israel
When
through the wilderness they came.
The
warfare that they fought went well
When
they were trusting in His name.
The
Lord enables us to fight,
Outfitted
with His Spirit's sword,
Which
is His Word that sheds the light
Of
saving grace through Christ our Lord.
O
Lord, the warfare of Your war
Is
fought to rescue precious souls.
You
are the King we're fighting for
Through
Your dominion that controls.
