Prove and Preach

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death… The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going" (Proverbs 14:12,15).  "Preach the Word… for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2 Timothy 4:2-5). 

There is a way that may seem right

To those content to trust a lie,

Preferring darkness over light

Until the dreadful day they die. 

It's not enough to just deride   

The false things which the lost have said. 

The evidence is on our side;

We ought to prove our faith instead!

It's time for us to turn the tables

On world views that mask a fraud,

With reason that exposes fables

And evidence that points to God!

O Lord, as your evangelists,

We prove and preach Your great salvation

With proof in Scripture that exists 

And Science that explores creation.
