"I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons" (Psalm 16:7).
The counsel that our Savior gave
In every season of our life
Has taught us how we should behave
In joy and sorrow, peace and strife.
How much we need this everyday
To shun the wrong, to do the right,
To understand, and to obey
His word of counsel, day and night.
O Lord, we thank You for Your Word
That counsels us with Your instruction
To guide us by the truth we've heard
And guard us daily from seduction.
