These Things

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).

Seek first the kingdom of God as you should;
Seek now His righteousness too,
And all of these things that our Lord knows are good,
Shall surely be added to you.

Its not about striving with worldly greed;
We're called to just follow our Lord,
For thereby our Savior will meet every need
With grace He alone can afford.

Thank You, dear Lord, for the great satisfaction
We find when we're seeking You first.
We turn from pursuing this world's distraction,
Which never could quench our soul's thirst.
