"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden underfoot of men" (Matthew 5:13).
We who are saved are the salt of the earth,
As salt that preserves and salt giving flavor.
What is our impact for Jesus Christ worth
If we lose our passion, as salt without savor?
Spare us, O Lord, from these tragedies feared:
A heart that has lost its compassion for souls,
A first love for You from which we have veered,
And a life that Your Spirit no longer controls!
