"We have a great High Priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God.... called of God, as was Aaron.... As He saith also in another place, Thou art a Priest forever after the order of Melchisedec" (Hebrews 4:14, 5:4,6).
How marvelous it is to know,
For every need, in all our times,
There is a Priest to Whom we go
Portrayed by Scripture's paradigms.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
Called like Aaron, sacrificed.
Yet the Lamb He brought, unflawed,
Was Himself, our Lord and Christ!
And also in another place,
We see another Priest reflect
Our Lord's eternal truth and grace,
Called as was Melchisedec.
What a Savior is portrayed
In these Priesthood types foreshown!
What perfection is displayed
In our High Priest on His throne!
