"Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" (Genesis 3:1).
Caution! There is subtlety
That's lurking round about!
Satan works relentlessly
To sow the seeds of doubt.
Are you sure that God has said...?
The serpent thus began,
And when the doubt like cancer spread,
He had achieved his plan.
God has said, and we have heard,
His counsel and instruction.
We either will believe God's Word,
Or fall by our seduction.
Though dispensations have gone by,
And much has been achieved,
Satan sows the same old lie,
And many are deceived.
God has said just what he meant,
And meant just what He said.
Except the sinner shall repent,
He'll perish when he's dead.
Be on guard for Satan's lies!
Let nothing slip away.
God will bless and make those wise
Who trust Him and obey.
