Greatness of His Graciousness

"Great are Thy tender mercies, O Lord.... I rejoice at Thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil.... Great peace have they which love Thy law: and nothing shall offend them" (Psalm 119:156,162,165).

Beyond what we can understand
Is His majestic power
Who made the heavens, sea, and land,
And keeps them at this hour.

And, oh, the greatness of the love
In Jesus Christ we've heard,
Who left His majesty above
According to His Word.

How great His tender mercies are!
How great His Word to us,
Which preaches peace to those once were far
And reaches rebels thus!

Oh, Lord, we thank you for Your peace,
A treasure that transcends
All this world's vain increase
That very shortly ends.

Oh Lord, we came in poverty,
But You gave us the spoil
That You had won by Calvary
By suffering and toil!

We thank you, Lord, for graciousness
That draws us near to You,
For perfect peace, for tenderness,
And for Your Word so true!
